Indian Rocks Road Project

The Indian Rocks Road Capital Project is a State and Town funded project that includes complete roadway reconstruction, stormwater system improvements and a new 8 foot shared-use sidewalk.

The full project has 3 parts:

Phase 1- Mehlenbacher Road to Poinsettia Road (complete)
Phase 2- Poinsettia Road to Sunny Lane
Phase 3- Sunny Lane to Belleview Boulevard

Phase 1 was completed in Fall of 2023.

What's Next?

During a public meeting on February 17, 2026, the Town Commission unanimously voted to proceed with the current design that has been underway for Phase 3 of the Indian Rocks Rd construction project. This decision keeps the project on schedule and aligned with the current budget and timeline for the project. Construction is expected to begin around December 2026. Phase 2 will follow phase 3.

Thank you to the many residents who attended the meeting and shared their input!

The three options that were considered during the February 17th meeting can be found below. The Commission voted to proceed with Option A.
