Belleair Police Officer Bobby Albertson was selected as June’s Employee of the Month for his work involving a narcotics case in Belleair.
While Officer Albertson was conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle in town for a minor traffic violation, he uncovered a large quantity of felony drugs and other illicit items in the vehicle. Through his follow-up, tenacity, and dedication on this case, the initial traffic stop led to a much larger narcotics investigation that spanned the course of several months under Officer Albertson's guidance.
After teaming up with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office and other local agencies, Officer Albertson and the Belleair PD team ultimately secured a search warrant for a home in Belleair. The search warrant resulted in the arrest of two individuals that included charges for trafficking felony-level narcotics, a marijuana grow operation, and a variety of other drug charges.
Thanks to Officer Albertson’s keen eye, attention-to-detail, and diligent follow-through, Belleair is even safer. Great job, Bobby on this well-deserved award.
