The pond located at the end of Belleair Creek is locally known as Harold’s Lake. This lake has a sediment sump to trap the sediment that has washed downstream from Belleair Creek. This sediment sump is currently “full” and is need of dredging.
It has been calculated that approximately 1,500 cubic yards of sediment needs to be removed in order to restore the sediment sump to its design state.
The scope of this project includes removal and offsite disposal of the vegetation and sediment that has accumulated in the sediment sump. Restoration of the sediment sump will be required.
All necessary erosion control needs to be in place.
Means and Methods of sediment removal is at the discretion of the contractor. Hydraulic or mechanical dredging can be used.
Staging area to be used is to be determined.
All sediment must be hauled off site prior to the project completing date.
Project site must be fully restored & sodded.
Bridge weight restrictions at entrance to Belleair Country Club (18Tons SU, 23 Tons C).
Sediment sampling report attached.
This is a lump sum project.
