The Town of Belleair will be hosting a groundbreaking ceremony for the newly-named Jeffery W. Tackett Park this Wednesday, June 13 at 1:00 pm. Please join us for this special event, as the ceremony will take place on the 25th anniversary of the date that our own Officer Jeffery Tackett lost his life in the line of duty while serving the Town of Belleair. The event will feature a presentation of colors by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, the singing of the national anthem, and a ribbon cutting by Officer Tackett's mother and former wife.

Over the next several months, the Parks and Recreation Department will be working on a park re-design and overhaul in honor of Officer Tackett's life and sacrifice.
